Just realized we have an unrestored PRR GG1 sitting next to our Union Pacific Big Boy here at the National railroad museum here in Green Bay, WI.
Back in 97 or 98 there was a freshly painted GG1 there. Is this a second GG1 or has the old one deteriorated?

Still looking great! but not in running condition... The Big Boy, GG1, and the Ike train are all now indoors and out of the weather along with a very nice exhibit about the Pullman Porters...And by indoors, I mean fully enclosed heated/air conditioned building. Check it out sometime when back in Green Bay.
The IKE engine is in England now, trains just post a picture of it with the 5 remaining engines of that class.
glad to hear they are indoors. hope to get there someday.

It's a TOY, A child's PLAYTHING!!! (Woody from Toy Story)
Yes it is, understand it's being worked on and will back in a year or two.
Love the GG1! How can you not love a locomotive that looks like it was popped out of a Jell-O mold?
