I'm looking for a diagram and parts list for a Lionel GP-7, 6-18826. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends - what is the biggest problem? I see two obvious issues.
contack Jeff Kane and send him that pic he may have a better sugestion but to me you need two gears and may be easier just to replace motor truck as it looks like the one gear is bent out and that would tell me the little post holding it is bent and I believe to replace that gear you need a wheel puller. I may be wrong but thats why I sugest you email jeff jeff@ttender.com

Relooking at it if I rememebr right there isn't a gear on that middle post as if you look the bras gear is turning the twoo other gears. I believe that middle post is fron another application some time back what you need is a diagram of the truck. I tried to find one but no luck (I'm not the greatest at that)
Once the cluster gear(8040-118) and pal nut(8960-52) have been installed, the gears should be fine.
The roller is a non-issue. Press the pin into position, or change the entire roller assembly(8209-165).

While holding the roller bracket firmly in place(with pliers), press down on the bronze strap("Roller Contact") spring with a small flat screwdriver starting from the middle of the truck, sliding down under the plastic toward the roller. When you have depressed to spring far enough, the roller bracket will slide out and away from the truck. No tools are required to replace it, just slide the bracket back in until it snaps into the spring.
Again Thank you! Now that I have the loco, looks like I have a pretty nice list of stuff. The unit only goes in forward and only one motor works. Guessing a new E-unit board and motor in addition to the little things is in order? Hope replacing the circuit board isn't going to make me want to tear my lungs out. Looking forward to the project.
The board may be OK - many times the problem is in the wiring to the e-unit lockout switch or the switch itself.
Any way to test or just start with replacing the switch first?
Does the working motor run Fwd-Neu-Rev as designed?

Your reverse unit should look like this:
Yep that's the one. I ordered a new one and a new switch. Didn't make sense why the one motor didn't
work but when I pulled it out and tested it, was okay.
If one motor runs, they both should, unless the wiring is bad between the 2 motors. Disconnect the wiring to the good motor, and hook the wires to the non-operating motor to it. This will isolate the wiring. To check the reverse switch, unsolder the wiring to the switch and just twist the wire ends together, The board and motor should sequence when power is applied and interrupted. If it does, the switch is bad; if it does not sequence, the board is bad.

If sequencing the power with the wires together causes the motor to run in one direction only, chances are the board is bad. There may be an outside chance that the wires to the switch may be bad. Check the solder connections for the wires on the board itself, then get a short wire and jump the solder terminals on the board to see if the board sequences. If it still does not, then the board is bad.
I apologize but jumping the wires on the board? Does that mean to take the piece of wire and touch them to the solder connection on the back of board or "squeeze" them in where they are inserted on the front? The more I learn the better.
