Is there such a thing as a re-railing track section compatible with 027 track? I have many such sections in HO (they look like vehicle crossings), and would appreciate same for my 027 layout. Especially for those hard-to-reach or hidden areas (tunnels) where cars get derailed and stop a train cold. Thanks!
Never seen one but using the HO/n scale as a model and using wood it could be designed. May have to look into that myself as presently building a layout.
But on the other hand if your running tmcc/dcs I would think you would not want to attempt to get your cars rerailed as for the short there would be

With the center rail, it's pretty difficult to derail a train without it tripping the circuit breaker on the transformer. HO trains don't have a center rail (except Marklin) or the car's axles to short to the outer rail, so the cars can be dragged while derailed for a little while.
If you are looking for one to make it easier to put the cars on the rails, Lionel makes a gizmo that acts like a ramp to help guide all the car's wheels onto the rails. It's about $10, or it was a few years ago when I bought mine. (it really helps out at the modular club when you have to put your whole train on the track quickly)
Hope this helps,
