Hello all, I have a McCoy Standard Gauge Handcar that I would like to put on an all Elevated trestle above my layout. Does anyone make standard gauge trestle piers?? I have seen some that are 6 inches high, but for O gauge. Has anyone even invented standard gauge trestles? Or do I ahve to hand make them? If so, how do I do that? I am good with wood working. Just need some instructions or video on how to do it the right way. My handcar is light weight, maybe 3 pounds or less. Its a little 45 yellow handcar, with 2 men on it. You have probably seen them. Just wanted a seperate line for the hand car. I have limited space on my 16X8 layout. I already have 3 loops and various freight yards and turn outs. Just would like to add a 4th elevated line. I would have measure the height requirement I need. My tallest loco are probably my 408E or 400E. Might need about 8 to 9 inches in height for the trestle piers. Will double check that height. ANy help will do. Thanks, Jeff

Hi
There are inexpensive, pre-molded trestle bents in a variety of heights made by Split Jaw Rail Clamps in G gauge that are great to work with as they are made from PVC and are paint-able and affordable. I just ordered a bunch for use outside. They start at a 12" height..,I would think they would be very close to what you want. Full info is at their site.

Also there is a site that sells scale lumber if you want a more do it yourself approach. Just send me a pm and Ill pass it along to you.
Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.
Yes, exactly what I am looking for. The 12 inch bents are perfect. But, they are out of stock on all their stuff. When will they restock??? Thanks.
Mine are on back order but they told me that their payment to the supplier has been processed, so I will receive them, only not so quickly as items they already have in stock. I ordered mine through their Ebay store, which carries the twelve inch bents.
