This engine seems to have limited pulling power. Is this common in the Hudsons?

I would have to say no. Mine pulls 18 cars up a 2% grade and asks for more.

Thanks for your response. Funny thing, right out of the box I connected my standard consist of 18 cars and a caboose (all with die-cast trucks) and it would just spin the drivers. After a few dry runs, I connected a 7 car aluminum passenger consist and I had to throttle it down. Back to the freight load, it took off and wanted to run away. Must have been slick traction tires. I am happy with it so far.

Williams by Bachmann seems to have continued the Williams Trains tradition of excellence.

Nobody beats Williams for great conventional engines!  They run & run without any problems!
