Just dug out my old train set in original (not pristine) box. 7 cars including Santa Fe Diesel, 4 passenger, 1 freight and Cabose as well as transformer and electric switches (2?). Did some searching and this seems to be the best site to find knowledgeable and potentially interested experts on value.
Anyone have some insight they can share?
Thanks very much in advance.

Are the trains Lionel ? If so ... here are some Web sites to look at ..

Thanks but they are not Liondel. From what I could find out, they were made by Marx (?) under the brand "Happi-Time" for Sears Roebuck ... probably in late 50's or early 60's.
If I remember correctly the Happi-Time train sets were put out by Marx through Sears. The set came with two Santa Fe locos, one power and one dummy. I've seen these sets, complete go for between $40 to $130 at auction. I sometimes look at what Marx sets go for because my very first electric train set back in '64 was a Marx set.

Thanks and I believe you are correct. This set, in the original box (albeit a bit beat up) has the following.
I haven't assembled to test if it runs but expect it to. Would be happy to get some pic's posted if anyone is interested.
Hi & welcome to the forum. I'm not very familiar with Marx; nearly all of my stuff is Lionel. I have a flashing crossing sign I think must be by Marx, though.
Would like to see some pix, particularly if you get it all set up and running. I' m sure there are folks here who can help with any problems you might come up with.
