Restored Lionel train gallery and video!
Posted by Darth Santa Fe on Monday, October 24, 2011 5:02 PM

I finished restoring the last passenger car yesterday, so I thought I'd put up a photo gallery as well as a video of the train running.Big Smile

Once more with the before shots:

And the now!Big Smile

I think it turned out great.Big Smile I was a little concerned at first that the 254 might be a little too small for the passenger cars, but it actually looks just fine with them, I think.Big Smile And now the running video:

Darth,

It looks fantastic so far, and the video series was very informative for a lot of the forum users.  For what it is worth, there is another 254 shell, with both brass door inserts listed on ebay with 1 bidder so far.  The starting bid is listed at 24.99 plus shipping.  The bidding ends around 11 p.m. Wednesday night, if you want to take another stab at getting what you need.
