lonely hobby

Anyone in the Roseburg Oregon area interested in sharing this great hobby - no clubs, just looking for an informal way to establish local contacts.

Lou - First off ---> Welcome.

On the East Coast.  My uncle was retired from BNSF's Wishram Division, and my favorite train flick is Emporer of the North, so I feel we have something kindred...

Even though separated by 3000 miles, just a click away thanks to the "internets".

Try getting people together for a public display at a museum or a business interested in attracting people with action and sound.

Put a flier up in your local hobby shop asking if anyone is interested in getting together.  We did that and now have a group of us that get together once a month socially at a "member's" house to run trains, chat, and of course have a bite to eat.  No dues, no officers, no rules.  I send out an e-mail early in the month asking who wants to be host, if no reply, no get together.
