I know this subject has been discussed in the past in the magazine. I remember reading something about it ,but I cant remember what issue it was in . I have some extruded aluminum passenger cars I would like to clean but I don't want to damage them. Does anybody recall any info on this subject?
Thanks willy w
YOU HAVE TO TAKE THESE PASSENGER CARS APART. TAKE OUT THE WINDOW INSERTS AND THE FRAME AND TRUCKS OFF OF THE PASSENGER CARS. YOU CAN WASH THE CARS WITH DISHWASHING DETERGENT AND A TOOTH BRUSH.
For my AMT aluminum cars I used Happich Simichrome Polish, it really brings the luster back on those 60 year old passenger cars.

willy w,
Search for this post, from a couple months back, I did the same process as was described above, and posted some photo's. The cars are actually better looking than the photo's, I am not an expert photographer.
I don't have the name of the polish I used, as it was a sample provided from a good freind. But I think the simichrome is very much the same, any polish for non anodized aluminum auto wheels should work well.
Good luck and post some before and after photo's for us to see.
