Bigdogjeff,

I was just there week before last. The museum is great. Thinking of doing volunteer work in the restoration shop when I retire in 2 years.

Well heres some of my buys over the past year first the B&O FA-2 units Bought the far right one first about a year ago then the B unit about a month later and finally the left A unit about 3 months ago by the way there all power units

Now for the 5 Atlas 33,000 tank cars that I have bought over the past 2 months.

And here you can see that the cars are acually longer then the Weaver FA-2 units

Whew!   For a moment there I read that to say that you had purchased 33,000 Atlas tank cars over the past 2 months.

That would have required one BIG basement.

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain!  On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

My wife wouldn't of been surprised if I tried that she always says if I ever hit the lottery I would buy a place with about 300 acres and have my own railroad put in

Great photos all.  My contribution this week is the K-Line "It's A Boy" boxcar I purchased to celebrate our recent addition to the family.  A very simple Lionel 2-4-2 (PA) is taking it for a ride around the construction site, I mean layout in progress.

I have the "It's A Girl" car awaiting the arrival of our first Grandaugjhter. It will join the ones I bought for my daughter many, many years ago. We also have one that we bought when my son was born 19 years ago. Not sure what we will do in the future since K-Line is no longer in the big picture.

I need to order one of each for my two older kids; I was on a hiatus from trains when they were born.  I'm sure there are plenty of these around in the secondary market.  MTH also makes a version.

Here are my pictures for the week:

First, the Flyer "The Mountaineer" freight set from 1953 that I purchased from Toy Town in Berlin, MD while on vacation.  The 282 that heads the set is absent from the pic as it is being overhauled.

Next, the early 740 handcar that I got recently.  Aside from the missing end nibs and lanterns, it isn't bad for $17 and a bit of my time.

Here is the common 740 for comparison.

I just took in this 718 mail car recently as well.

I also pulled my 332AC from its shelf.  It went back onto the shelf and will be there until I run it around Christmas.
