This is the BNSF station in beautiful Sandpoint Idaho. This is about 15 miles from my house. My wife works about 4 blocks from the station. If you want to catch the Amtrak here you have to get up mighty early... it comes through at 2:15 am ,I think 3 days a week. beautiful old station. Happy Fathers Day all , and remember the fathers serving in the armed services that cannot be home today. ...........Tim

Spankybird with diesels!!!!!!!! Well here are some diesels working hard in digial on the Chief Eagles Short Line [temp layout on carpet but gets a little bigger each week. note the engine siding that I can store PS2s]

Two NS SD90's lashed up and pulling long coal train through the Wedding Presents Mountains of NC.

The same two SD90's passing the new engine track on the left of the picture. This took a lot of engineering. Had to move a pile of youngest's clothes and shoes. Track has off on switch. Had to remove switch stand so engines would clear.

The same pulling that long coal train at 80 SMPH.

New NS SD90 separated from other SD90 and pulling high speed trailer train through Wedding Presents Mountains NC. Trailer train cars is Father's Day presents from wife [train purchases is a first]. [8D]

I just got some storage space and wanted to share my first train set with everyone. It's a Marx Happitime set with a 333 engine(My Dad didn't have the money for Lionel--times really haven't changed). I got it from my brother in 1970, who got it for Christmas in 1955.
