Was Goldfinger display N scale?

In the movie Goldfinger there is the mockup of Fort Knox and I think there are RR tracks in the mockup. Looks like N scale or possibly Z scale to me. But was Z scale around in 1964?

Maerklin introduced Z scale in 1972.  N scale started in 1962; so that is a possibility.

I beleive the model was HO scale?  The actual model of the depository used in the film is on display at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox:

I just pulled up Google Earth and used the measurement tool to get an approximate size of the depository, about 120 feet by 130 feet. Bond had his head inside the model just before the gas attack, he was looking out through the windows. I don't think you could get your head inside an N scale version.
