Got to play on the Very Short Line Railroad last night. Think the old track and etc is why the two Williams got out of sequence. Got to driving the E units crazy too. Out on the very end of the track, E units did not want to cycle good. Good to get the trains out and run though. Got oiling and etc. was good for them. Now to bring the other box of engines home and the rolling stock. Garden is growing and more plants in the greenhouse to plant today. Have a good day and God bless.

Dirty, was rusty and poor connections. See a few sparks once in a while from wheels. Seems to be same spot on track where it happens [way out on the end]. Connections soldered on at other end. It moves as the trains move up and down the track. Its on carpet.

Good Moring all,

NE Ohio is another cool day, 34 Deg. Some areas had that white stuff on it. I saw a few cars with it on the way to work. I sure am glad that winter is over. We are going to get more rain latter today or maybe the other stuff.

Good mornin' Chief and gang.... nice photos you sent me Chief! With those 2 locos running together you should be able to pull one heck of a train! Dirty track does have the potential to cause problems with e-units. I use 90% isopropyl alcohol to clean my track and it does well.

Also remember, Williams uses a 6 amp circuit board and suggests nothing smaller than a 90watt transformer to run their trains. I forget what your using Chief - I know it's bigger than the 1033 - but maybe it doesn't have enough reserve power??

This is one thing I like about running some of my trains on DC power, rewiring locos with out circuit boards... it makes double lashups real easy. Of course, everything has a drawback. With the DC current the way I do it, no neutral position.

Ah, but when was I ever neutral on the subject of trains???? [:D]

Brian, a KW [190 watts]. Can not get close to full power on it in short track. Don't think I will on my layout when built. They will fly off the track. You see the 4 diesels strapped together. They ran for years on old layout and no problem. KW might be old but its powerful [20V and 190 watts]. Got two other smaller ones to run accessories and switching yards.
