I took a look at Centerline products car, but its almost $150 between the car and the pads. Is there anything out there that is just as effective and a bit cheaper?

Lionel has a new track cleaning car. I've seen it and heard its virtues from the salesperson at Davis trains. He said it did a good job. It lists out at $129.

I always thought that a clean and new chalkboard eraser with a little GOO Gone attached to a dowel for a handle would to a good job. Sorta like a miniture push broom.

Scotch Brite pad wetted with some Goo Gone and a little elbow grease, works wonders.
As for the best track cleaning car, I'll stick with my pw Lionel 3927.
