Frank Ellison Delta Lines structures recreated.

This is my first attempt at posting pictures on this forum. I've been working on recreating the town of Raymondale on the Delta lines which was a famous layout built by master model railroad builder Frank Ellison during the late 1930's until the mid 1950's. IMO it was the most realistic looking model railraod ever built. Here in pictures is my tribute to this great master. So far I have completed four structures and a fifth (Chic Sale is on the way).

I think that you are close to getting the photo to show, but your syntax is off just a little. Check the forum code, I think you missed the / in the closing of the img command. Also you can test the image by using the preview button before posting. Once you get the hang of it its a piece of cake.

Hi,
Jim Duda was having post his pitchers from HPPhoto site. If you note, the file does not have an extension on it. I work on this for hours (like 3) and gave up. Jim finally change to a different host for his photos.

Above is the link to another of my recreated Ellison structures. Apparently HPphoto's do not post to this forum. If I figure it out I'll post pictures of all of my Ellison stuff that have been built with the help and guidance of the great master himself via his 135 articles in Model Builder, Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman magazines. Would like to see CTT do an article on Frank Ellison one day. I still believe that Ellisons Delta Lines, built from the late 30's to the mid 50's was the most realistic model railroad of all time. Ellison was a performer, , an artist, and a prolific writer. All of these talents were evident in his hobby.

I got a "page not found " on the first link, and a small picture of the structure (neat!) on the second link. I'd like to see the rest of your structures, as I think Ellison and his Delta Lines were true early classics![tup][tup]

This is an example of a working URL from my file storage space. I tested this first, using the preview reply to make sure that it worked, and it took me 2 tries to get it, because this stuff is case sensitive, and very fussy.

The question is what is the correct syntax for the location of your photos. For me it goes:
my ISP/my account name/filename I'm not sure what the "~" means or does, but it is part of my URL.
By enclosing that information inside the "img" command the photos appear in the reply automaticly, and this is what happens.




In the case of the HP site, Link photo and everything after that may be junk, and what you are missing is your acccount and file info for the actual photo.

I'm not trying to be Mr Know-It-All here, I just want to help you get your photos to show up, since we all know that it can be done! Up until two months ago I couldn't do any of this!!!

It seems that the one thing that HPPhoto is that it does not have the JPG extension on it. What is really strange is if you check out Jim’s profile, his photo there is from HPPhoto which he only cut and pasted the name form HPPhoto. Check the properties on his profile photo.

I am at a lost. Any help would be great.

Jim finally check host servers. He now post with the JPG extension and all is well for him.
