I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but after over 20 years in the TCA I have NEVER BEEN TO YORK, and have no plans to go any time soon.

The first time I went I was blown away. Things I had always been told were rare, were actually pretty common and if I had a nickel for every time I said "Wow, I've never seen that before..." I could buy coffee for a week at starbucks!!

I'll second Bob. If you've never been to York, you're really missing out! See you there!!

Maybe my problem with York is that I don't seek rare trains, and that by the time I spend the money to travel there, I would have no money left to buy anything anyway. Sorry, but the York notices for me are just junk mail.

I just sent off my application to TCA. Is it to late for me to go to York?

It's not too late, although you will have to wait in a long line to register for the meet as opposed to getting your badge in advance. The one thing I am not sure of is how they handle the situation where your registration may not be on record yet with the folks at the admission table. I am pretty sure TCA tries to keep good tabs on this, but I cannot speak from experience.

While it's too late for you, I normally recommend people who want to join and attend to join at the meet.

If you happen to get your membership number in the mail before the actual show, you will definitely have no problems.

Hope to see you there! [8D]
