Purple TIN Rock Island Diesel?

Hi Ted,

The diesels in the photograph were manufactured by a company called UNIQUE LINES.

Unique lines was a line of low-priced tin lithographed trains produced around 1949 - 1951 by Unique Art Manufacturing Company.

Their are currently a couple of their Rock Island diesels for sale on e-bay.

Thats about the extent of my knowledge on Unique. I hope this helps.
