Any other Post-War Cele Sets besides Wabash #1563W?

Just wondering if there were any other "premium" Post-War Celebration sets other than the resent Wabash #1563W? My father is interested in purchasing a set such as this and I was just wondering if there were any other variations of F-3's and rolling stock like this setup! Thanks for all your help!

If you aren't picky about the orange and blue boxes, Williams is currently making a slew of postwar reproduction sets at prices certainly better than what Lionel would offer. Granted, Williams has never had the resale value or the collector craziness that Lionel has had, BUT they do make very decent trains that are in many cases built better than the same model Lionel's and for much less money.

Brian, Thanks for the info. Every since my father saw my new Santa Fe F-3's he is wanting to relive his childhood and purchase the sets he remembers from the 50's. He's really a Lionel guy so I think Williams stuff is out of the question for him but not for me I think there golden memories stuff is awesome!

Tell your dad FEC to bear in mind that at this time nearly all trains are (unfortunately) in made in China: Lionel and Williams included. I'm a Lionel guy too - I think we all are. My first set was with a Lionel F3. When people come over to see my trains, regardless of who makes them, they're still Lionel! I was looking at the K-Line catalog one day having coffee when a stranger said "Wow, Lionel trains! Can I look at that?" Even though the catalog clearly said "K-Line."
Sure, if the price is right (and the quality and roadname) I'll buy Lionel. But I also buy a lot of other stuff because it is more affordable and better quality for the money. I said this in another post, but I wouldn't be in the hobby today if it weren't for those great K-Line items from the early 1990's that everyone else today seems to dump on. (I know, they weren't scale - but they weren't meant to be!)
You and your dad could certainly watch e-bay for older original postwar items. But it's hit and miss. Sometimes you see postwar stuff for a deal and sometimes definitely NOT.
But dollar for dollar on current made quality, Williams is doing a darn fine job. Good gearing, die-cast quality, limited lifetime warranty! Their centercab 44-ton switcher looks much better when you actually see it than it does in the catalog or on their website. And no one today even comes close to matching their roadnmame selection or variety!

I believe the Wabash Postware Celebration set has TMCC & Railsounds. All of the Williams products are strictly conventional control.

If you're not a TMCC user, or if your father isn't & neither of you are considering switching over, then the Williams products are great. Even if you do switch over, you can also get them upgraded to TMCC if you want.

yes there is more sets #21786 s.f. anniversary set, 8260/1/2 sp f-3 aba,21759 cp set,also there is texas special set i dont remember the stock number,but yes there is more, try lionel.com catalogs and get stock numbers and dealer directory! good luck! BNSF RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
