February CTT
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 3, 2004 11:28 PM
Just curious if anyone has received the February 2004 issue of Classic Toy Trains yet. I'm a subscriber and this issue seems to be running later than usual. Thanks...

Me too! I've seen it in a hobby store already too, and people are posting things here in the forum, and I feel left out.

I haven't got mine yet, either. I'm expecting it to be here right away.

Wow! I feel special for a change. Usually my magazine shop (not a train shop but a regular newstand) is the last one to have the train mags. But I got my February CTT at the beginning of the week. Cool! When I lived in Ithaca I used to buy the train mags at the newsstand just so I could flirt with the cute girls working there. Now that I'm elsewhere, I suppose I should subscribe... there are no cute girls at my current newsstand and I don't think Don, the owner, would want me to flirt with him! The feeling is mutual. But he's a nice guy, makes the right change and when I call to inquire on the new train mag, he KNOWS who it is on the phone without me saying... so all things in proper perspective!

Hi Guys,

The Feb issue should have shipped to subscribers on Dec 20th and the official on sale date is today. We received our "advance copies" from the printer two weeks late, but we had supposed that was just the office copies.

I'd say that if it doesn't come in today's mail, call our customer service number at 800-533-6644.

Mine showed up in Monday's mail, so we can call off the dogs. [:P] (At least for my copy) Thanks Bob, but now I'm wondering if MR and Trains had the same problem. Good things come to those who wait.

Oh yah, and patience is a virtue!

I think I'll go work on my layout to help pass the time.[:D]
