Giraffe Car in early 1970s? (early MPC Era)
Posted by pgtr on Saturday, September 8, 2007 11:14 PM

Was the 3376 (perhaps under a diff #?) ever produced during the early 1970s? (70-75) And if so what sets were it included in?

I show it was last produced in 1969 for the 11760 set.

Thanks

it originally came out in 1960 - 1966 and then again for 1969 now remakes have recently been made and then again I think 80' or 90's as goefrey car for "toys are us" cars and a few other versions .  the blue car with yellow lettering was the one made in 1969 and only year for that color set up.

Thanks!

So none between 1970-1975 it looks like.

BTW I don't recall the giraffe car telltale ever being cataloged as a stand alone accessory during the PW era. Was it?

One more question: Which postwar sets besides the 1642 and 12760 included the 3376 giraffe car?

Thanks again

It was offered in a rare yellow-lettered version Bronx Zoo for separate sale in 1969 as well.
