200 series PW ALCOs - windshield/lens?
Posted by pgtr on Sunday, August 19, 2007 11:58 AM

Did any of the 'cheaper' (stamped steel frame) 200 series ALCOs come with clear plastic windshields or lenses for lights? (many did not have lights at all but I believe some did)

Q: In any case is there a windshield part# or lense part# (unless it was a 1-piece) that could be ordered to retrofit to one of the more basic models without either?

I've got a 221 RG that has neither a windshield nor a light lens (but has a simple hole for a lens).

Thanks

Windshield part no for the original FA's was 2023-82.  Headlight lens was 622-12.

I don't believe any of these has either part. Greenberg's 1945-69 guide says there was no headlight lens but does not mention the windshield. The service manual does not show either part for these engines.
