Being Crazy, keeps you from going "INSANE" !! "The light at the end of the tunnel, has been turned off due to budget cuts" NOT AFRAID A Vet., and PROUD OF IT!!
If you guys can divert your eyes from the 2343 for just a minute, look at the FasTrack roadbed I painted. The black wash really brings out the detail in this superlative track system! I might take it a step further and detail paint the ties.
I also need to glue that porthole back on before it gets lost.

I tried...I really tried! The shine on the loco is too great....track what track?
Did I hear your daughter in the background??? "No Mom, all he does is sit and rub the engine with a diaper..."

I use a soft, white flannel for polishing. Much softer than a diaper. Behind the 2343 is a former blue K-Line Conrail car that I painted orange last week. I'll make some decals and turn it into a 6464-725 clone. I like the all black logo motif on the 6464-725 better than the black and white of the real cars.

Jim - What did you use for the black wash?

Cause the Yanks stole all your good horses. Actually NC was a big horse race state before that war. Took all the horses in NC to furnish the great Army of the Confederacy. This is true history. We also gave more men to that war than any other Southern state.

Hi Lisa,
I used ordinary craft store acryllic paint (black) diluted with water. Dilute it with rubbing alchohol and it will dry much faster.
