Does anyone have any experience with these panels as a way of controlling GG/Ross switches?
Hook up techniques? Do they come with lights? Do they work with Z1000s?
thanks

The Acme switch controllers I'm familiar with are single or multiple banks of push buttons for controlling any 2 coil switch machine. The one my father had was good quality, and reasonable to wire. Acme makes a variety of configurations - surface and flush mount, #of sets of push buttons, with or without indicator lights, etc. They certainly save a lot of space over Atlas, Lionel, and other similar switch controllers.
The one drawback, IMHO, is the same problem as most other switch controllers - keeping track of which controller controls which switch. For this reason, I prefer to use push buttons or toggle switches mounted in a panel diagram on larger layouts.
just my thoughts

ralph (cheech),
For what it's worth, back when I had a "permanent" layout I used a bank of 8 non-illuminated Acme switch controllers to operate 022 turnouts for years without any problems whatsoever. Hook-up was simplicity itself. Have no experience with other brands, but the Acme website says they will control all kinds of switches. They also make illuminated versions.

Hope this helps.
