bent roof repair

Anyone know which CTT had the article about straightening bent (die cast) cab roofs? Seems like it was a year or so ago, but I can't find it

I remember reading the article I probly still have the magizine and I'll look for it. I do remember they used a standard gauge wheel as a anvil on the inside of the cab roof to fix the back part of a cab. I don't recall what they used to bang it out. I would probably use a rubber mallet or something soft to soften the blow.

The article is in the Nov. 2005 magazine.

It shows a Berk being rebuilt with a bent cab.

Zinc is brittle at room temperature, but said to be malleable between 100 and 210 degrees celsius, then brittle again above that.  It would seem that a little heat, but not too much, would therefore help the process.
