Marx (AllState) RTR Set # 9625 ?
Posted by pgtr on Thursday, July 19, 2007 9:37 PM

Based on the # any info available? It has the # 9625 stamped on the side of the original box for the set. It's an Allstate but is definately made by Marx.

thanks

Sears sold Marx-manufactured sets under the Allstate brand, so you're right, it's a Marx. I don't know anything specific based on the set number. Some sets are documented, others aren't. I would ask on the Marxtrain Yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MarxTrain

There are at least a couple of people there who collect Marx sets and are trying to document as many of them as they can. If you post an inquiry there, I'm sure one or more of them will post a response within a day or so. If they don't know anything, they'll be asking you some questions about what's in your box.

You can read Yahoo groups on the Web. That's what I do. I don't like e-mail lists either.
