Why dosent Lionel make a variety of GE engines like dash 9s and ac6000s? The only other company I know of that makes them are MTH, and with a variety of road names. I know Lionel has made them in sets and such, but I think they should start foucusing more on MODERN locos rather than GPs and Alcos. I dont mind them making f3s, that more of their heritage, but I think making more modern locomotives would be a good idea for them. Whats yalls thoughts on this?

Lionel did make a dash 9. I have one sitting on my shelf. It is a very reliable and smooth running engine.

I do remeber them making some individually, I think it was a BNSF or Santa Fe, but im talking more about them making them as a important line, making them more often.
I know it's not a GE but, Lionel is producing there own Union Pacific Heritage Series SD70ACe. (six different schemes) I really love MTH versions. My LHS has one and it is beautifully decorated with LOTS of add-on detail. But , I RELLY hope Lionel does this good ...because I want one!!
Lionel....$449.00. Not too bad
What is the Amtrac locomotive, is it a GE locomotive or not?
Also why is it so hard to find an Amtrac passenger car set or individual Amtrac cars?

Yes, pretty moderately priced (for Lionel at least) but I have never really liked the SD70ACe's. There nose is to "boxy" to me, yet they are very powerful engines. I've always had traditonal locomotives and cars, never the expenisve standard O line. If you look at their quality ready-to-run sets, it contains a sd90 engine whith 4 or 5 modern freihgt cars. The engine has TMCC and RS. Even though its traditional size it look very detailed and doesnt look anthing like a dash 9 or ac44 or ac6000 would look srinked down to traditional size. Im planning on ording the set soon.
You need to be more specific on the concept.
Price Range?
Detail Level?
Scale or Sub-Scale proportions?
Motor Type?
Conventional or Command equipped?
Horn and Bell or RailSounds?
The clear question to ask everyone at LIONEL is where is the LionMaster version of the General Electric DASH-8 40C and 40CW?

The GM-EMD SD90MAC Diesel-Electric Locomotive is part of the LionMaster series.
Why is the General Electric counterpart the AC6000CW Diesel-Electric Locomotive not also a part of the LionMaster series?
It would only make sense to also compress the GE AC6000CW to be closer to traditional rolling stock.
