A "sweet" Halloween gift

What does a box of Dots candy have to do with toy trains? Plenty, if you are the Railroad Museum of Long Island! But, I'm getting ahead of myself. . .

My favorite movie candy.

My favorite movie candy is Dots. My husband chooses Sno Caps, but I always pick Dots (the traditional flavors). Imagine my surprise when he tells me I have a "Halloween gift" to open. It's a custom-run Lionel boxcar. . .with Dots and Crows graphics! The car was produced by the Railroad Museum of Long Island, who has a history of having these custom-run cars for sale. Their website has a list of their cars (not updated with the Dots car though) here: https://rmli.org/toy-trains/collectible-cars/

Check it out!

The graphics are crisp and colorful and overall, it is an attractive car. It will have a place of honor on my bookshelf in my office.

Can you order one of these cars? I'm not entirely sure of the answer. However, at the bottom of the page I  linked to, there are links to two contacts. I suggest emailing one or both of the people there with questions.

Dots graphics.

Crows graphics. Both sides are nice.

The entire boxcar.

A place of honor. The large-scale boxcar is a custom-run LGB, and the Morris car is an old K-line car.
