O22 Switches connected to Type Z (C-U) at fixed 12-13 V. Switch remote ooerates switches 2-3 times then fail. Observed dimmed ligths and electric hum when switch lever activated. Voltage at switches remains constant at 12-13 V. Why do these switches fail after just a few cycles?

Welcome aboard!

Right church, wrong pew.  Wink  Come on over to the CTT forum: http://cs.trains.com/ctt/f/95.aspx.  I use a KW myself so I don't know the answer to your question.  But a lot of them do!
