Express, Mail, Passenger, and Autos in the colourful Fifties. Ottawa, Ontario

Some remarkable 50's scenes from Ottawa back when times were perhaps flawed but perhaps simpler.

No question of the importance of railroads in our daily lives. Express services, mail, beautiful passenger cars, real services and a strong vibrant presence everywhere.

By the way none of this is left...it's a freeway now.

How would you like to take a stroll down and check out all those cars. People say the 50's had no colour... wrong! Today everything is black, white, silver, the odd red, or some puke green nonsense.

1950's view of station area. Check out all those "old" cars!
