Mexican Passenger Cars
Posted by passengerfan on Monday, January 14, 2013 6:38 AM

I am looking for builder dates and capacity of those lightweight coaches and car numbers built for Mexico in France, Germany, Canada, Japan, and those built in Mexico under license from the Japanese, Any information would be greatly appreciated. It is for a book project I am working on.

Thanks

Assuming you already have this:

http://books.google.com/books/about/The_Cars_that_Went_to_Mexico.html?id=Uva_YgEACAAJ

You probably want information on the Schindler cars, etc.

thx for the reply

I have three copies of the Cars That went to Mexico and the information I seek is not in the book. I already have the info on the Schindler cars the info I need is on the German built cars for the Sureste, the Canadian built Hawker Siddeley cars , the French cars built in the 1950's for the NdeM and any possible Italian and British cars that were not powered. I also need information on the Japanese cars and those built in Mexico under license.

I suggest you contact Bob Wayner then.    He knows EVERYTHING about Mexican rail service.
