National RR Museum, Green Bay

Can anyone give me a reliable and current update or review of the National RR Museum in Green Bay WI? Several years ago the History Channel ran the "Trains" series which had a lot of scenes filmed at that museum and it seemed very comprehensive and interesting, but now, when I have a chance to visit the midwest to research my ancestors, if find that the museum's website link doesn't work and in a "travel advisor" site I see a scathing review of it.

Been there many times..very good history and breathtaking locomotives such as the Big Boy, Pennsy GG1, MILW Locomotives, Union Pacific "bullet train", EVERYTHING! You will NOT be disappointed!

I went there last year; it was a nice display.  Some stuff is indoors, some outdoors. The indoor displays are air-conditioned.  The entire place is well-kept and clean.  During summer, there is even an old CNW switch engine that pulls an old coach around the grounds on a little tour.  Nice place.

You will enjoy visiting here, they have a nice collection of steam and diesel locos, passenger cars and other rolling stock.  A replica depot houses a large HO model railroad and the grounds along the Fox River are scenic.  Go downtown and eat at Titletown Brewing Co. which is in the 100+ year old ex-C&NW depot.  Also Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame are nearby.
