I am currently rebuilding the Lionel Precision Motor [Atomic Motor] of my 1948 726 Berkshire.  Reviewing the Greenburg Manual, I see that atop the brush holders are 2 screws, one each on each brush holder.   What are these used for?  All the photos I can locate on the internet for this unit, "which are very few", these screws are missing. 

 I am new to this forum and I will post some photos once i am familiar with the process.

You might have better luck posting this under the Classic TOY Trains heading. This board is for discussion of the real thing.
