Spring 2007 Issue of Classic Trains
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 25, 2007 1:43 PM

My mail box was a delight to behold.  With 100 pages of great photographs and articles, the chores I had scheduled took back seat to the magazine.

Is it my imagination or are the issues getting better and better?  Diesels are appearing more frequently, though; I guess the 'Classic Time Frame' now is that time before AMTRAK.

But they were first generation diesels and some second.   Plenty of steam in the George Washington C&O story and the excusion into Canada with cab rides.

I used to get every issue. Now,Icheck to see if there is enough steam. If not ,I wait for the next issue ,hoping for more steam.I belong to a model railroad club and when we run steam for the Christmas shows it's amazing the interest they draw, young and old alike.Steam may not be alive on the railroads but I believe it's alive in the minds of many.More steam please!!!
