people want to buy this from me, but offer me no advice on real worth and don't want to help me explore train collecting and how to start, maintain and restore things i have....please help....[V]

Welcome to the forums. You'll get a lot of help here. For this issue, I would repost on Classic Toy Trains forum. I have seen posts like this one get answered there. You might also try the Train Collectors Assn.
