Sata Fe motive power inventory...
Posted by fleduc on Saturday, April 23, 2005 7:20 AM
Hello,

Is there a place (web site, book, catalog, etc.) where we can have information about the Santa Fe locomotives inventory ?

For example, I have GP40 (H0 model) #3501 and I would like to know its history...

Thank you,

François

The only true GP-40 the Santa Fe had was one they acquired when they merged the TP&W. I believe it was TP&W #1000, then Santa Fe #3461, then # 2964.
I also think it was destroyed in a wreck and stricken from the roster.
I cant post the link for you, but do a Google search for TP&W Diesels, and the first webstie on the list will supply some info for you.

Most any Santa Fe question can be answered at qstation.org/ Go to the Santa Fe Resource there and look around. Gene Crossett has a nice roster page.
