If you are referring to the Fourth Street Union Depot that opened in 1893 and was razed in 1974, "Classic American Railroad Terminals," by Kevin J. Holland has two pictures: one outside view from the horse & buggy days and the other of C&O's "Sportsman" departing in 1956 for Virginia. I haven't found anything else in my reference books to help you out .......

There's a good book of New York Central terminals and stations that I saw at Boarders of all places a couple months ago and they had quite a few pictures of the Michigan Central station in Detroit if that's the one you're looking for. (It's the big high-rise one that can be seen from the Ambasitor Bridge.)

Talbanese, when I was in kid living in Detroit back in the late forties and early fifties, that was my favorite station. It was called Fort Street Station on 3rd or 4th and Fort Streets, downtown. The railroads were the PRR,C&O,WABASH RR,PERE MARQUETTE. I think Pennsy had the Red Arrow,Chessie had the The Washingon,Wabash had The Cannon Ball and I forgot what famous train Pere Marquette it may only went to Grand Rapid,Mich.,but I am not sure. I hope that helped you. ldolby

What is going on with this station. To me it is a nice station with office space. Whats up with Detroit why don't they do something with this building.
