Marx one-way uncoupler
Posted by FE032 on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 3:09 PM

I just bought a Marx 2500/12 Fraight Train set (Engine # 999) with "remote" uncoupler track.  I looked it up on line and it refurred to it as a "One-Way" uncoupler.  I guess this means that all of the cars must point in the same direction to work correctly.  My question is, how do I determine how do you determine the direction to point the cars to get it to work.

Welcome  aboard!

You should ask this question on the "Classic TOY Trains" Forum, there's plenty of "Marxists" there who should be able to answer your question.

Just go to the "Trains.com Sites" part of this website's heading to find it.

And don't be embarassed, you're not the first to confuse the two websites and you won't be the last!

Perhaps the quickest 'overall' answer is to look at the details in patent 2305135A and design patent 335610.
