Very nice Firelock..but...I shall counter with my own model railroad F unit saga.

Late 70's, throughout the 80's into the 90's I did a lot of kitbashing in N Scale and we had F units galore. Shells and well used F's, very inexpensive, were in abundance. I needed the side carbodies, roof details, fans and such and so on. So...I would saw off the 'heads', the cab. After a number of years I had a small box full of 'heads'. A nice assortment from the all the different roads. 

So one day I made a new junkyard on an N-Trak module. Sawed off cabs,,.weathered up a bit, a big old heapin' pile of heads. 

I called them fish heads and made a little sign 'fish heads for sale'. 

Always brought a smile to my face. Switched by a Rivarossi/Concor IHB 0-8-0. Revenge is best served cold and lethal.
