Why Not Comments for Photo of the Day
Posted by kajensen on Thursday, January 22, 2015 1:28 AM

Why not be able to comment on photos of the day like Trains Magazine has for their "Newswire" articles?  What prompted this question is the photo of MP's Eagle at http://ctr.trains.com/photo-of-the-day/2015/01/mopacs-colorado-eagle#23 which I contend has the wrong caption.  Since I think that the mountain appearing above the cab is Pikes Peak, this photo is north of Colorado Springs, probably at Baptist Road south of Monument on the since abandonded Santa Fe owned track, not near Pueblo as the caption states. I do not find any other fourm on this site to state this information.  It certainly is less controversional than the comments on the Trains site.

Our caption was based on the information on the back of the print. Not being intimately familiar with the line, we can't say for sure if the location is near Pueblo or Colorado Springs. Thanks for your suggestion about comments on "POTD"; we'll look into adding that feature.
