I wonder if you can obtain more information on the following accident and print it in Classic Trains.
On Monday, August 1, Amtrak Train 6 had an accident approximately 30 miles west of Lincoln NE at approximately 6AM. This accident was caused by a farmers sprinkler system, those making a 180 degree sweep, climbing up onto the tracks. This caused major damage to the engine and an freight engine was brought in to replace the engine set. This resulted in over a five hour delay. As they were leaving, they passed the damaged engine. The light and windshield were severely damaged. As a result, trains 5 & 6 were canceled for the next three days.
