Hi, everyone,
Please, I would appreciate If someone would answer my questions regarding N.Y.C. wood cabooses, with the low cupola at one end.
All, I can find out is that the 'AAR Class' is NE and the AAR Type is M930, of these cabooses.
Also, what I would like to know:
1-Owner's Class, if any?
2-What year(s) were these cabooses first built?

Thank you,

Although this website is primarily re NYC subsidiary Canada Southern, it does have some good info re NYC System cabooses. Appears the "standard" three-window NYC caboose goes back at least to the 1910's. Certainly they were common by the 1920's when Lionel based one of their standard gauge cabooses (albeit with four windows) on it.
