Hi everyone, I,m new to this site and was curious if anyone can help me. I have a collection of old magazines ex: Trains, RailRoad Model Craftsman,Model Railroader, all dating back to 1949 thru 1969 with alot of other cool memorabila ( ex :Milwaukee Road rate books, annual reports etc, HO engine / car info, Dimensions of old Locamotives also) I would like to know the value on this . Is there anyone that appraises this kind of stuff on this site or in the Mpls , MN. area?
Thanks
This site http://www.railpub.com/ sells old magazines. He's on the high side, but that will get you some idea of the market. At train shows, I have seen the magazines you have listed for around $1 some times less. If you're looking to sell to a dealer, the price he pays will be a lot less.
Good luck
Paul
You could check here, at least about the annual reports and such:

John Luecke is probably the top Minnesota railroad author, and publishes the annual Minnesota Railfan calendar each year. AFAIK he doesn't work with the old magazines, but I know there is at least one dealer that usually attends the Twin City Model Railroad Club fleamarkets at the state fairgrounds and the Newport Club fleamarkets at Woodbury High that you could talk to.
