I joined the forum today to learn more about the S. & S. P. Can anyone help?
The only information I have comes from Edson's Railroad Names, and it is very brief.
The Suwannee and San Pedro is recorded as having existed from fiscal year 1902 to 1905, and then it was known as the Florida, with the dates of 07/1905-1917, with no reports since 1914. I hope this helps you some. there is no mention of its end points or anything else,
Johnny

I sure hope you did not own any stock. Although today it would probably be more valuable than some of the existing RR stocks just to collectors. In any event it is a new RR I never heard of.

I would refer you to two places on the Internet.
The first is Don Hensley's Tap Lines site, specifically the page titled "The Rise and Fall of the Florida Railroad Part II - The Suwannee & San Pedro." It can be found at:
http://www.taplines.net/floridarailway/part2/flary2.html
Mr. Hensley, BTW, is a historian and expert on 19th and early 20th century southeastern short lines. He has four Yahoo groups. The best one for you would probably be the southeastrrhistory group. He is the moderator of that group, so once you're in, he (and/or other members of the group) will probably be able to answer any questions you have.
The second site is the Florida Memory Project's collection of historic photos. In particular, there's a great shot of a S&SP train crossing a draw bridge which is NOT among those on Mr. Hensley's site.
Unfortunately, it's not easy to find those photos, and the link directly to them is too long to post here. First, go to their home page. In the search box, enter "Suwannee." This will, of course, take you to the first page of 73 pages containing 1,451 photos. You don't want to browse them all (or maybe you do, if you want to see every picture even remotely connected to the word "Suwannee" in their collection). Instead, go to the light blue bar at the top of the page which contains the words "Go Back," "Help," "Limit Search," ... whoa. Click on "Limit Search." You'll see a box which says "Suwannee." Add to that "& San Pedro Railroad Company." (Be sure it says that exactly, or you'll have to go through another step.) Go down to the sixth line below the search box, where it says "match on." Set that box to "exact content." Click on "Search." You should be there. (Yeah, real user-friendly site, huh?) Anyway, here's the link:
