Info/Question about a possible Cotton Belt interlocking tower in Carrolton, Texas
Posted by Road Fan on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 1:24 PM

Here is a question that someone may have the info to fill me in with.  During my explorations, down in the Carrolton,TX area (around N. Broadway St and Beltline) there is a 90° cross over and several other intersecting rails at the same spot (I believe it was once part of the Cotton Belt? I believe that it is now the DGN railroad ) and there appeared to be an interlocking tower at that site at one time.  Is this correct or am I mistaken?

If anyone can enlighten me, I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks,

Road Fan

I put this on the McKinney thread, but here it is again. Tower 77 was at Carrolton. See http://www.towers.txrrhistory.com/077/077.htm for information on this tower. The Texas Towers website has information on all the towers and interlockers in Texas.
