I decided it would be more fun if I voted for one steam engine on every poll, I also couldn't pick just one. I vvoted for the 4-8-4 Northern.

As a Pennsy fan, this may seem and odd choice, but as I get older, that NYC Niagra certainly seems to be the embodiment of a real dual-purpose machine. Maybe someone will ask Bill Gates for a grant to have one built, or we can do a subscription like they do in England. Save your pennies!

As a former NYC kid, it had to be the 4-6-4 for the Hudson.

The 4-8-4 Niagra (although I am a Pennsy fan). It really gave diesels a run for their money.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

I'm the only one who voted for the 4-12-2. Don't I win something for that?
