I am opening a new restaurant in a month that will have a g scale train running on 145 ft of track around the dining room.  I have an SP mogul with tender and an SP caboose.  I am looking to buy cars that will fill in the train that would have run on the southern pacific lines in Salem Oregon between 1900 and the 1940s.  Any suggestion on where to get these would be helpful.     Thanks

Just a quick guess for the period you are talking about would primarily be 40' boxcars both wood and steel, gondolas open ended with flat cars on either end for transporting telephone poles, 40" wood reefers for apples from the Northwest, grain hoppers transporting grains and flour. Check with the G-Scale manufacturers on the web for a dealer in your area. You may have to go to Portland.
