removing old paint from engines
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 7:32 PM
I have just gotten 3 boxes of old HO model train engines from the late 50's through 70's and some of the modelers paint job is not so great after being stores all these years in a Restored Central of Georgia Caboose and they are in real need of cleaning and some repainting.  How can I remove the old paint without harming them.  I don't want to ruin the integrity of the engine -some brass some plastic etc. but some of them are pretty bad. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Best advice I can provide is for you to make your inquiry on the TOYS or MODEL RAILROADER forums. This forum is for REAL trains.

Check out the titles of each forum - I know it may be confusing, but posting here may not get you very much.

Good luck!
