G'day all,,,You probably noticed I am from down under...and I will tell you now if you ever get the chance to visit this wide brown land...don't try and get in a kangaroos pouch for a ride...these critters will kick your ass.

My name is Chris and I am a HO American railway modeller that is interested in the north eastern sections of the old Southern Pacific lines. I live in Perth Western Australia with a wife n 2 kids...Recently I have come back to a project I left as I found having kids and trying to float a carpentry business quite a show to juggle.

Its been a while but things are just starting to settle down at home so I have had some time to get some of my layout sorted. The call has been made by the boss to move it into the shed...so this will be the first stage of my re entry into the hobby.

I have a thread under the layouts section called "Back room Practice pad" I hope you enjoy the evolution of this basic little layout and I am looking forward to any ideas and info you may have to help steer this journey.

I am a member of the Australian model railway association (Western Australian Branch) but don't get down to visit the rest of them as much as I would like.
