I saw an old Lionel tender that had red lettering. I have never seen a tender with lettering other then white. It looks genuine but I cannot find any information on a Lionel tender with red lettering. Could this be for real or an alteration by a train collector?
do you have a picture or tender #?

I can't recall ever seeing a Lionel tender with red lettering, only rolling stock.

is it a tender with Lionel on the side or a road name as I believe they did PRR in red once I know they have done some other road names also in different colors

I believe there was at least one tender in the early 70s with red lettering but I cannot find proof of it in my books and would have to check my early MPC catalogs to see if there was one.
