I'm trying to rplace the E'unit in my 2333, single motor, F-3 unit with Williams Reverse Board # 00247. I understand that adding a 6amp Standard Bridge Rectifier will help make this work, short of just buying the Dallee unit.
Does anyone have some schmatics/pictures or instructions that would help me do this? I know it can be done as one guy on the OGR Forum had it down to his F-3, but sold that unit a few yearsa ago.

Hi Bob, it's asingle motor. I picked up a postwar Texas Special with no shell and am using it . The attached picture is an article the Googled. Thought that the 'concept' would help towards making this work. I know that a bridge rectifier will work but the question is what type, ie., number o amps, and how to wire it up.

That picture has nothing to do with what you are trying to do.
The Williams reverse unit is designed for permanent magnet DC motors. Are you trying to replace an E-unit, or run the motor on DC, or what? The armature resistance is usually too low to run it through the Williams unit, even if the field is powered by a separate DC source(a bridge rectifier).

I suspected that the board was meant for DC motors; but I couldn't find any technical information whatsoever on the Internet--except for the board dimensions! There might be a way to do it, that does involve a bridge rectifier:
Disconnect the field return from the motor frame. Use the bridge rectifier to supply one part of the motor, either the armature or the field, but not both. Then wire the bridge rectifier input terminals in series with the other part of the motor. Connect the series combination to the output terminals of the reversing unit.
The bridge rectifier will have to be tougher than the one in the pictures, perhaps this one: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062580&filterName=Type&filterValue=Rectifiers
Rob, I think I have this solved. I am replacing the eunit with the Williams unit. Part of the fun here is that I had the Williams Reverse board & a Lionel 2333 Texas Special w/out the shell. I know the Dallee reverse unit works and heard that the Williams unit did to IF you had the right instructions.
GGG from the OGR On Line Forum posted the following solution, using a 6 AMP Bridge Rectifier. :
Here is a method to operate the AC motor with a DC board and rectifier.Hot + DC wire from Reverse unit to one AC terminal of the bridge rectifierThe armature across the + and – of a Full Bridge RectifierThe other AC terminal of the bridge to one of the field coil endsThe common point of the field coil to DC ground on the PC board.What this does is always ensure DC current to the armature flows one direction because of the FBR, but the current through the field reverses with the DC Reverse unit changes. This reverses the direction of the motor. If you have a volt meter/Current meter on you layout it would be nice to read the values in AC, then after the conversion. I think top end speed will drop off. G
Bob, thnaks for the Radio Shack link and detail. See my not to Rob with insturctions from GGG at the OGR Forum. With your detail I think I 'm ready to go. I'll check to see if the RS rectifier is 6 AMP so I don't fry my board.
Once complete, I will post some pictures.

Those instructions aren't completely clear about disconnecting the field from the motor frame; but I strongly suspect that disconnection is necessary.
